CONDITIONS OF COMPETITION - GROOVE/PUNCH MARKS

The following Groove and Punch Mark Specifications will be in affect for all NJPGA Section Sanctioned Events-

"The player's clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in the Rules of Golf that are effective from January 1, 2010. (except for amateurs in a Pro-Am that does not count in the official competition) - Decision 4-1/1.

Penalty for making a stroke with club in Breach of Condition - Disqualification.

An online resource page on grooves, at www.usga.org/grooves, offers more details on the Condition of Competition, Frequently Asked Questions, and a link to the Informational Club Database, where players can see whether the clubs they play with conform to the groove regulations.

QUALIFIER FOR 2018 SENIOR PGA PROFESSIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

This event is the qualifier for the 2018 Senior PGA Professional Championship, presented by Golfadvisor & John Deere which will be contested 10/25-28, 2018 in Port St. Lucie, FL. The Section Senior PGA Champion plus an additional 6 spots will qualify for the Senior PGA Professional Championship. Bill Britton & Frank Esposito are exempt into the national championship.
